The East End Bazaar will host Hop & Heat October 21st, 2017 from 2:00 P – 6:00 P as a FestivALL Fall event. Hops & Heat, an Appalachian Craft Beer and Chili Cookoff Event celebrating the close to the Open-Air Bazaar season, will encompass over 70 craft beers from more than 20 Appalachian breweries and crown the Bazaar’s best chili in a chili cookoff competition between 10 Bazaar cooks.
The Hopped & Heated beer competition will return this year. Breweries bringing chili-themed beers will be judged with the winner receiving a custom award. 2016 champ Big Timber will be returning
Only 500 tickets will be sold. Craft Drinker Tickets cost $30 and include 4 oz. samples of beer, unlimited chili samples, three 12 oz. beer tickets, and one branded tasting cup; only 400 are available. Non Drinker Tickets cost $20 and include unlimited chili samples and access to food vendors, live music, and East End Bazaar artisans. All proceeds benefit the East End Bazaar – Open-Air Artisan Market!
Register For Chili Cookoff
Registration to enter the Hops and Heat Chili Cookoff is $20. Two competitors will share one of our 10 x 10 Bazaar. All cooks will receive sampling cups, spoons, gloves, complementary bag, Hops & Heat cookoff apron, and all perks of an attendee ticket.
Two award will be given: People’s Choice and Bazaar’s Best Chili. You may bring premade chili for the People’s Choice, but Bazaar’s Best Chili competition chili must be made on-site.
